Tunisia seemed to be defined by three 'T's - tiles, topiary and tuna. And then there was the A to Z of this ancient land, whose recorded history goes well back, to before the Romans. 'A' for the Acropolium, 'B' for the Bardo Museum, 'C' for Carthage, and right through to 'Z', Zgougou, the uniquely Tunisian dessert made out of the black seeds of the Aleppo pine. 'H' for Hannibal is worth noting. And 'K' for Kairouan. But neither alphabet nor numbers can really sum up this small beautiful North African country on the Mediterranean coast.
